Your data,
respected.

We hold payroll and personal data only to do one job well. We never sell it, and we take only what we need.

What we collect

To run wage access and reconciliation, we process a focused set of data — and nothing beyond it:

  • Employment and roster details from your payroll system (read-only).
  • Earned-wage and deduction data needed to calculate safe access.
  • Account details a worker provides to receive funds (mobile money or bank).

Read-only payroll

Our connection to your payroll system is read-only. We read the roster and earned-wage data required to calculate access and produce a reconciled file. We never write to your payroll and never move your money.

How we use it

Data is used solely to provide the service: calculating available balances, enforcing caps, moving funds via licensed partners, and reconciling deductions.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it beyond the licensed partners required to deliver a transaction.

Where it lives

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside Ulalo is restricted on a need-to-know basis and fully logged.

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal and audit obligations, then delete it.

Worker rights

Workers can request access to the personal data we hold about them, ask for corrections, and request deletion where no legal obligation requires us to retain it.

Requests can be made through the app or by contacting our trust team.

Sub-processors

We work with a small number of vetted, contracted sub-processors — for example our licensed funds partner and cloud infrastructure provider — each bound by data-protection obligations equivalent to our own.
